SKIDCAR SYSTEM, INC. has made room block arrangements with The Orleans Hotel & Casino which is the Headquarters Hotel. To reserve guest rooms for this event, attendees must be aware of the following:
Room block rates are $40.00 plus tax per night, single or double occupancy, based on the dates of April 8, 9, 10, 11, 2013. There is a mandatory $6.00 per room, per day Resort Fee, allowing access to the Fitness Center, in-room coffee, unlimited local & 800 calls as well as free High-Speed Internet Access in the Business Center.

The Orleans Hotel & Casino is located about a mile west of the Strip and I-15 at the corner of Tropicana Avenue and Arville. It features three 22-story hotel towers with 1,885 oversized rooms, including 58 suites. The ground floor of the building features a 140,000-square-foot casino, nine restaurants, a showroom, lounge, specialty bars, and a gift shop. The second floor features the Century Orleans movie theaters, a childcare center, arcade, bowling center and a 40,000 square-foot convention and banquet facility.
POLICIES & CANCELLATION
At the time the reservation is made, the guest will be asked to provide a major credit card or send a deposit for their first night’s room and tax. If a credit card is utilized, it will automatically be charged first night’s room and tax. The Orleans accepts company/personal checks for payment of deposits only and must be received a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to arrival date.
The cut-off date for the SKIDCAR SYSTEM, INC. room block is 03/6/13. Any reservations received after this date will be accepted on a “space available” basis. To insure space availability, please secure reservations in a timely manner.
It is a policy at The Orleans Hotel & Casino that each and every guest room be occupied by at least one adult, 21 years of age or older. Photo identification will be required upon check-in. The hotel reserves the right to refuse service or terminate service to any individual(s) at any time that is not in compliance with this policy.
Cancellations on individual room reservations will be accepted up to 72 hours prior to the check in time of 3 p.m. on the scheduled date of arrival with no penalty fee. However, any individual who cancels their reservation after this cut-off will be responsible for one night’s room and room tax.

Electronic Stability Control Workshop for EVOC Instructors
*Please note that this event is separate from the Conference, but offered at the same location for those who would like to attend both.
Training with new driver safety technologies must be included in current curriculum. Depending upon the type of vehicle being driven, possible changes in driving habits could be necessary. The first of its kind to address ESC technology, this workshop brings an up-to-date understanding of Electronic Stability Control systems installed in all new Police Vehicles as of the model year 2012. An Electronic Stability Control system is a new safety technology designed to prevent rollovers and loss of traction by keeping your vehicle in contact with the ground during dangerous situations. When a vehicle accompanied by ESC reads a complex situation such as curves or sudden swerves to avoid obstacles, it takes over and allows the driver a better chance to get through the situation, further improving the advantages of the Antilock Brakes and Traction Control. Although each manufacturer has different detail operations of their ESC System, they all work within the same premise and are therefore exposed, explained, and understood during the workshop, which includes both a classroom and behind-the-wheel element.
